It’s only been days since their nth comeback of the year, the release of their new album and a sleek ad campaign with LG Electronic’s CYON. Now, the boys are at it again for more endorsement deals.

Big Bang recently wrapped up a photoshoot with international sports brand FILA. The concept of the shoot was “chic and stylish” with a dash of “masculinity and individuality”.

Aside from modeling the brand, FILA also revealed their plans to collaborate with Big Bang as designers for a limited edition ‘Big Bang for FILA’ collection to be released this December.

Chickening Out

Just when the K-pop battles actually got interesting, Big Bang announced that they’ll be backing out of their showdown with DBSK. According to Master YG, the boys simply had too much on their plate and had to end their third mini album promotional activities.  What’s too much you ask?  Their “Stand Up Tour” in Japan hitting three cities starting on October 28th and their new Japanese album titled “Number 1.”

The five midgets will have their goodbye stage on MBC’s Music Core this Saturday, September 27th.

Big Bang is N to the I, I

Rejoice as there are no more “I love sex” or “69″ faux badges in sight. NII has been collaborating with Big Bang for several seasons of campaigning now, and the entire catalogue for the Fall/Winter 08 has just debuted on NII’s site.

NII goes back to rich, dark colors for the fall and while the clothes may be your standard prep-school, Ivy League outfits, there’s no harm in being safe, especially if we’re talking about Big Bang. I just wish somebody would tell G-Dragon (again the perpetrator) to stop trying to make headbands work.

Big Bang to release “Making of Video” on MTV

VIPers must be jumping for joy.  MTV Asia will release Big Bang’s “Making of Video” for “Haru Haru” and “Oh My Friend”, covering behind the scenes and short interviews with the members.  Big Bang’s “Making of Video” episode will be aired in all countries that fall under the MTV Asian umbrella.

The exact air date is dependent on each country’s schedule, but many are predicting that it’ll air before the month’s end.

Big Bang’s “Making of Video” will air sometime during the second week of September in Korea.

Big Bang’s Third Mini Album Sweeps K-POP Charts

The group Big Bang is taking the K-pop industry by storm. The title track of Big Bang’s third mini album “Day by Day” has now topped the “Melon K-pop Chart” for two straight weeks.

The latest album sold 100,000 copies in just two weeks. Other tracks in the album are also climbing the charts. “Heaven” took the fifth spot, “Oh My Friend” the 11th spot, “Sweet Person” took 12th and “Lady” took 17th.

E Hyo-lee’s “U-Go-Girl” is following close behind in the second spot, Davich’s “Love and War” in the third spot and Seo In-young’s “Cinderella” in the fourth spot.

Nineties K-pop icons Seo Taiji, Cool and Eom Jung-hwa also nabbed top spots on the K-pop charts.
