He had a concert prepared in Taipei International Convention Center however, the concert superviser ran away with 200 million Won (~$US 200,000) and hasn’t even reserved the concert hall!

Lee Joon-ki’s entertainment company had to pay another 50 million won (~$US 50,000) to use the concert hall and proceed with the concert.

70% of the tickets had been sold when Lee arrived Taipei and he couldn’t break the promise of the concert for his fans.

The Way to Interact with Hallyu Fans

In Japan and China, you will need to pay if you wished to participate in any star fan meeting. In Japan, if you spend a few thousand for a star fan meeting, you will get to shake hand and autograph from the star himself. And sometimes there will be extra small surprises too. As a repay, the star will perform something they are good at or sing songs. Fans voluntary saved and spend for stars are common, but buying ticket to go to a fan meeting is a culture still new to us.

If Hallyu star regularly conducted fan meeting in certain locations, their income will increase. A lot of Hallyu stars have earned quite a lot from having fan meetings in Japan. This type of fan meeting may seem interesting to the die hard fans, but for others, it is actually quite childish and boring.

Having the fan meeting over and over again at the same place does not gain good impression from the public. Instead of meeting with the fans, it would seem more like activities done to grab in more cash. Some local media who are more negative will have these kinds of similar comments when reporting about Hallyu stars.

Nevertheless, the Hallyu star will meet with their fans locally. As an actor, the only way a fan can see their idol other than from a movie or drama would be in fan meeting or interviews. Due to such reason, feeling the need to fulfil the needs of the fans, Hallyu stars will devote endless effort to develop more skills to perform.

The “Episode 2″ fan meeting which will be held on the 18th this April is something similar. It has been 3 years ago since “Episode 1″. Lee Jun Ki does not simply conduct a fan meeting frequently, instead it was carefully planned and prepared through long hours, working hard to explore and develop more skills and potential, and later perform each and every skill learned to the fans in the fan meeting.
The songs in the mini album “J Style” and new style in the music video which was recently announced to the public has received much cheer and praise from the fans in Asia.

Different from the usual Hallyu actors who will sang ballads during the fan meeting; Lee Jun Ki has chosen songs which accompanied with hot dance, which required a lot of physical strength during performance. Although his right hand finger has fracture during practice, but in order to let the fans has a chance to see his various performance in the fan meeting, Lee Jun Ki persisted and perform dance such as popping, hanging in mid-air with cable, perform martial arts and so on, all these in the expense of the right hand injury which is still not yet recovered. The fan meeting of Lee Jun Ki is just like a restaurant which serves abundance of dishes.

The Lee Jun Ki fans who will feel happy even with just catching a glimpse of his face will definitely love him more after they have seen the performance from Lee Jun Ki which he has taken much time and prepared earnestly for his fans.

In considerate of the China fans that cannot make it to the fan meeting in Seoul due to visa issue, Lee Jun Ki will conduct a fan meeting in Shang Hai on 29th May and another fan meeting in Hang Zhou on 31st May.

Putting in indefinite effort to further develop various skills because of the fans who loved him dearly, Lee Jun Ki’s fan meeting which is remarked as “The new mode of how star and fans meet” will become the best example of setting the new trend of the way Hallyu stars interacting with the their fans.

Hello everyone, I am Lee Jun Ki.

Really exhausted after all.

I am very grateful that all of you, my family have come here together to participate this event despite coming from overseas and long distances.

I am sorry that the performance ended so late because I wanted to show you more and better. Did you all get home safely? I am also grateful that my family waited to meet me at last. Overseas’ family is not familiar with the geographical location of Seoul .. But I am sure that you will take care each other warmly.

The scene was so pretty — all of us finally gathered here all the way coming from different countries with different languages.

I don’t know why I really wanted to have all of us together ^^

Ah .. first of all to thank you (fans) who prepared my birthday celebration yesterday with your enthusiasm.

Over indulging breakfast was almost bursting my belly .. ^ ^ My staff were happy and spoiled because birthdays blessing. ^ ^ (refer to good food fans prepared) My family’s dedication is so sincere … that I will gain weight I guess .. ^ ^

I am only a beginner at stage design, PD teachers had a really tough time though. But I am an actor learning this along with my way. Ah…I’m sorry saying that if ~ ~ (you should not be bored??)

Today is the day I am truly happy and joyful. I feel really close to my family who have accompanied me all the time. How could my family do that consistently? I am scared of it.

Because of you, the birth of Lee Jun Ki who appears on stage, big screen is existing. I am very grateful that you have given me strength so that I can challenge more…

Oh, my oversea family, tell the truth if the talk was a litter bit boring yesterday, right? This is a real problem… the issue is if there are good ways to solve the different languages. I will continuously think about this… I recited the day before, but forgot lots. Its not enough only recital.

I hope our efforts preparing the show can make all of you happy and energize your everyday so forth.

Exclusive MV for Episode II Leaked.

Lee Junki who has recorded an exclusive MV for his upcoming fan meeting Episode 2 for his fans, have been dealt with a blow after important scenes from it were leaked onto the internet recently. Junki who was still feeling the effects of an ankle injury suffered on the 5th during rehearsals for his fan meeting, was shocked to see part of his MV appearing on the internet. This has thus disrupted plans for the fan meeting as it was to be shown on that day exclusively. Mentor Entertainment has launched an inquiry as to how it was leaked.

Lee Junki had been working with famed Korean producer, Kim Hyung Suk on this MV which will be shown to fans during his Episode 2 fan meeting on the 18th. But the leak of partial scenes from the MV has disrupted the plan. Despite the blurry looking pictures, the sad thing was that most of the important scenes from the MV have been leaked.

A Mentor Entertainment representative expressed, “It’s unfortunate to have so many problems before the fan meeting has even started. But we believe that these are signs that point towards the big success of the fan meeting eventually. But we will still launch an inquiry and will go about it accordingly once the culprit is found out.”

Lee Junki’s second fan meeting codenamed Episode 2 will be held at the Seoul Olympic Park on 18th April. It’s the first stop of his scheduled world tour and thus is highly anticipated by his fans from all corners of the world. All kinds of professional equipment will be utilized to the max in order to bring fans an experience that they will never forget.

Lee Jun Ki is injured ):

Irresistible actor Lee Junki injured his ankle on the 5th while practicing for his fan concert ‘Episode 2′ that was scheduled for the 18th. It seems that he was practicing a performance that involved wires and him being in the air when he fell. Although he wasn’t seriously injured, he still sprained his left ankle. He was checked at a hospital and released to let it heal naturally, but he’s already back to getting ready for the concert. Lee Junki’s company said “While Lee Junki was practicing the wire performance, there was a misunderstanding and he ended up falling. He is letting it heal naturally even through bruised legs and swollen hands.“

An onlooker mentioned “Because he is normally very athletic and has good reflexes there wasn’t a big accident, but his muscles have received some shock. Even with this, he has thrown himself back into practicing with even more fervor than before. There will be no setbacks at the concert.” For the fan concert on the 18th, he plans to have approximately 4000 overseas fans alone and his fans are dying to see his drastic transformation. For a speedy recovery, Junki should fly on over my house, I’d nurse him back to health in no time.
